BRITNEY SPEARS

Britney Spears said it herself in her 2009 smash song “Circus”: “I’m a put-on-a-show kind of girl,” and she truly delivers in her resident spectacle, “Britney: Piece of Me” at Planet Hollywood. Spears herself came up with the idea to incorporate wow-factor elements into her first big production. Fire, water, confetti “snow” and rainfall ultimately made it in, along with an army of insanely talented backup dancers, glittering costumes and Spears front-and-center. She goes through hit after hit with ease, from the futuristic-looking opener to the dreamy “Everytime” sequence where she dons angel wings.

Whether you simply love Vegas-style production shows or want to see this icon live, “Piece of Me” doesn’t disappoint. Just ask the thousands of fans next to you who will be standing up and singing along in a Britney-mania fervor the entire time.

Tip: In the mood to party or with a large group? Book a VIP Table package for bottle service, front seats, dedicated check-in and even a meet-and-greet with Britney.

PENN & TELLER

Dynamic duo Penn & Teller are famed around the world—and at the Rio—for their unique style when it comes to blending illusions, comedy and awe-inspiring performance. Penn likes to rant and debunk magic myths while silent Teller is often the brains behind the tricks—or the potential victim of stunts gone awry. It may center around magic, but the show is way more than card tricks. It’s undoubtedly surprising, mystifying and entertaining all at once, offering something for everyone. There’s also plenty of audience interaction, in between Teller catching a fired bullet between his teeth, that is.

Tip: Both Penn and Teller stick around after the show to take pictures with every single person who wants one.

ABSINTHE

You won’t quite know what to expect when walking into the circus-inspired Spiegelworld Tent that houses “Absinthe.” There are first-come, first-served seats that circle the intimate dome, but beware: front row seats can get you right in the middle of the action of The Gazillionaire, Penny Pibbets and their cast of characters. “Absinthe” mixes adult comedy, acrobatics, singing, variety acts and cabaret.

If you’re on a tight budget or only have time for a single show, you get all in one here. In between jaw-dropping high wire and chair stunts, expect ultra-raunchy humor from the zany hosts (who may even pick on you) and a knockout burlesque performance by Melody Sweets.

Tip: The show venue tent is located in Caesars Palace’s Roman Plaza, by the main valet.

MAT FRANCO – MAGIC REINVENTED NIGHTLY

His new show at The LINQ Las Vegas, “Magic Reinvented Nightly,” might be Mat Franco’s first headlining Las Vegas residency, but he is no stranger to Sin City. The funny, talented season nine winner of “America’s Got Talent” actually starred in his own Vegas show when he was just 15 years old! Now, the charming magician is all grown up and appears in an all-new, full-scale production at The LINQ Theater, which brings his intimate and inventive spins on magic and storytelling to new audiences nightly (save for Wednesdays).

Tip: There is a lot of audience participation in this show, so no two performances are the same. Try to get seats near the middle of the theater to get closest to the interactive action.

ROD STEWART

Stewart is one of the few icons to claim residency at the The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. His show is beloved around the world by fans who see it multiple times and bring their whole families. Part of the appeal of “Rod Stewart: The Hits” is listening to Stewart take you through the decades as he belts out early career favorites like “Maggie May” to instantly recognizable hits such as “Tonight’s The Night” and “Have I Told You Lately.”

His stage presence alone proves that the global icon hasn’t aged a day, dancing and singing better than ever with his unmistakable gravelly voice. He goes back and forth between singing with his full band to a few acoustic songs and covers, all while grooving like a bona fide rock legend. If a lively, showstopping music concert is what you’re looking for, add “Rhythm Of My Heart” rocker Hot Rod to the top of your list.

Tip: Stewart frequently heads out into the audience aisles to sing and kick around soccer balls, so try to book a seat on the edge of the railing.
