Today, Thursday, Sept. 19 is set to be a milestone day for online poker, when casino operator Caesars Interactive Entertainment launches World Series of Poker’s web platform, WSOP.com at 9:19 a.m. As only the second, fully-licensed entry in the state’s real money wagering for online poker, players located in Nevada can begin placing bets as soon as the site goes live.
With its eye on the prize, the site’s launch correlates with WSOP’s final table championships including the November Nine on Nov. 4-5 at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, and the new online gaming component will simultaneously run its own championship with nine tournaments.
